Every time I've taken a road trip into the South, the pleasant meter begins at Maryland and just keeps increasing all the way down. I've never been to Alabama, only along the Eastern Seaboard, but not just on tourist routes. Even my teenaged boys recognized how friendly, open and nice people were as we traveled further South. I would move South at a moments notice and not just for the warm climate and photo ops!

Yeah, it's all true. We evem get extra bonuses like, in a really severe winter, it'll snow once or twice; we have a 280 day growing season; interesting birds and butterflies are always on our property; etc...

One more request here to see your art! I am just enamored with Boxx's collages she has shared and now my fingers are itching for some paint and glue and messy stuff. It has been too long since I've done anything really creative. I need to STOP ignoring that part of me.

Anyway, don't worry about what you write being interesting to those who read you. Write whatever you want, write for yourself - that is what is important (at least IMO) and I'll be here to read it no matter what. :)

I've never really been "down south" myself. We went to Kentucky once when I was about 10 and saw a lot of caves and things. It was so pretty there and I had a lot of fun. And I've been to Florida but only the Orlando/Disney World area and of course everyone is super-duper friendly because it's the happiest place on earth! I really do love it there . . .

I'm jealous of your warm climate and long growing season and would come visit IN A SECOND. But cute clothes would still be a necessity for me. *snicker* And do you have Sonny's BBQ resaurants nearby? I would just kill to eat there on a weekly basis. Mmmmmm!
