Domi Donations
Do I ever ask anything of you, dear Diaryland reader? When was the last time I ever begged like a dog? Well, now I am begging, but it's not like a dog, it's *for* a dog!!
My Diaryland pal, Atomic Buddha, has four dogs, one of whom is a gorgeous pug named Domi. A.B. has recently found out that Domi the Pug has lumps that are cancerous and will need some expensive treatment. A.B. and her hubby are in the midst of paying off some debts (legitimate debts - they didn't just go on a wacko spending spree!!) and money is tight for them. An operation for Domi is just stretching their resources way beyond the limit.
In addition, A.B. and her husband, who both work for the same graphic design company, just found out that their jobs may be in jeopardy. The company, looking to save money of course, is sending a bunch of jobs to India. And you thought factory workers were the only ones who had to worry about this! (And thank you George W. Bush for creating such a fabulous situation where thousands of jobs are now headed off overseas!! And unemployment is rampant!! Yet all your rich friends are getting richer!! Grrrr!! Rowf!! Rowf!! Sputter....grruuu...ok, deep breath......deeeeeep breath....focus on the pug....focus on the pug.......)
Ahem. Well, to end this raving rant, A.B. has set up a little donation button for Domi's vet care. If you are thinking about going out to have a latte at lunch today, wouldn't you please consider donating to the Domi Fund instead? He's adorable, and much healthier for you than that ol' latte!! And the $3 you would spend on expensive coffee would be so helpful to his surgery!!
And if everyone who reads this forwent their lattes and gave to Domi, why that would be - um, it wouldn't be very much money at all!! But it would certainly help!!
And besides, you'll get an autographed photo of Domi!! So what are you waiting for!! Go Save The Pug!!
